Small investors are just as important to our team as large investors. They are a big part of the equation and should be treated as such. At New South Realtors,  we value all of our investors and landlords. Let’s face it, we are all in this business to make money and secure our futures.

Alabama is the place to be. We set a record in 2018 for economic investment. Job growth is on the rise. It is a great time to buy a new home either for personal use or investment.

Alabama set a new record in 2018 for economic investment, according to the Alabama Department of Commerce, with $8.7 billion committed to projects in the state.

Altogether, economic commitments last year are expected to generate 17,000 new jobs across the state.

The biggest project, of course, was the $1.6 billion announcement last January of the Mazda Toyota auto manufacturing plant for Huntsville. But Alabama also saw big announcements by Facebook, Shipt, Airbus and Amazon, along with expansion projects by Mercedes-Benz,

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - The Secretary of the Air Force confirms Huntsville’s Redstone Arsenal is on the shortlist to house the headquarters for United States Space Command.

The Air Force released a list of potential headquarter locations on Tuesday.

Candidate locations include four Air Force bases in Colorado, Vandenberg AFB in California, and Redstone Arsenal.

Space Command’s creation was approved by Congress in 2018 after direction from the President. Space Command will be the 11th unified combat command.

According to the Air Force the next step in the process will be site surveys and analysis.

Mazda Toyota is expecting the new plant to have around 4,000 employees when production begins. The anticipated date for production to begin is 2021. Calhoun Community College has begun training students for future employment at the plant. Graduates have an earning potential between $70-90K year. Hiring can expect to hit its peak in August.
